While flying with the Sleepytime Ponies, children and their parents visit a different country in each book. This time, the adventure is in Thailand. Mother, Katie, and Ben shop at a floating market, make their own kites, and pursue Mouse Deer through the rain forest. Mouse Deer is a favorite southeast Asian trickster who can outwit and outrun just about everyone. Would you fall for the old "sky is falling" trick? Elephant does! How about a new one like "Tiger is coming" or "I know where the king's magic belt is hidden"? Dog and Tiger do! Even Farmer and Crocodile are fooled by Mouse Deer. Will he ever meet his match? "He's smart and he's fast," Mother said. "It will take someone even smarter and faster to trick him..."

About The Author

Lana Jordan has loved writing pretty much ever since she was old enough to pick up a pencil. In elementary school, one of her language arts teachers gave the class a weekly writing assignment and awarded a lemon drop to the student who wrote the best story. Lana's mouth is still puckered! She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Her first book was Journey to Motherhood, a guide to pregnancy and childbirth from a mother's perspective.
