Silencing America is not a conspiracy theory. It is a compilation of facts linking legislation favorable to energy interests or de-regulation of the energy, diamond and banking oversight laws, to their not so obvious consequences. When the right questions are posed, the answers and consequences become frightfully and painfully obvious. Here are the two events, their dates of occurrence and questions that are not being asked by our media: Fact: 9/11/2001— al-Qaeda attack on World Trade Center. Fact: 12/2/2001— Enron files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the biggest bankruptcy petition in U.S. history. Fact: Post 9/11— Congress passes money laundering laws and foreign bank regulations immediately to prevent further incoming of bin Laden cell money, and prevent further outgoing of corporate stolen monies. Question — How is it “money laundering laws” and “foreign bank regulations” were passed immediately and so easily after 9/11 and 12/2? Who wrote this legislation and where were the partisan debates, but most importantly…WHERE WERE THESE LAWS BEFORE 9/11? Fact: Enron executives "cooked the books," then stole billions from their employees, getting stolen money out of the U.S. and into the Cayman Islands through unregulated foreign banks in America; the same route bin Laden used to traffic dirty diamonds and cash into America to finance his acts of terrorism. Question — Could the Enron scam have been prevented? Could 9/11 have been prevented? Why will our TV media not ask, “WHICH SENATORS VOTED TO STOP CRITICAL MONEY LAUNDERING LAWS BEFORE 9/11 AND WHY?”
About The Author
Nick Anagnos is a graduate of St. Louis University-School of Commerce and Finance with a major in Economics. His career has been mainly in investments where he specialized in investment tax shelters as Vice President of a national Brokerage/Financial Planning Firm from St. Louis. He went out on his own and now is a real estate investment consultant. He decided to write this book at the request of his daughter who felt, after years of family discussions, her dad had a very unique perspective on politics, and their family is very concerned about Americans losing their voice to special interests such as the Energy Industry and the Diamond Industry as well as other's. He decided to research this phenomenon because no one seemed to be asking questions such as—how did money laundering and dirty diamond legislation get passed so quickly after 9/11 and Enron? Was it on Congress's plate before 9/11? His research says yes, it was brought to congress prior to these two atrocities. He says the answers to these questions have no other conclusion except there is a flaw in our democracy. America was asleep at the wheel when 9/11 happened but it was not a slip or mistake, it was and is what America accepts as "politics as usual." Silencing America is my MISSION and OBLIGATION to America." This is NOT a conspiracy theory because the passage of laws post 9/11 are proof of this connection between our "less government" mentality which is synonymous to "de-regulation"; and 9/11. This is evidence where American politics has evolved after years of buying votes in Congress by special interests. So why should we listen to Nick's opinion? That's the inevitable question, which Nick answers..."these are not my opinions. These are facts. Silencing America asks the questions our media should be asking, and whether I am an economist, a writer, a journalist, or whether I sell hot dogs at the ball park, collect garbage or a palm reader, doesn't change the facts, the questions or the answers. I am a concerned American who has put together the facts which are available to everyone, and on my own dime put them into this work Silencing America, for the world to see. One can reject or accept them but the questions are now on the table and all should be looking for answers. We are not the democracy we thought we were and there is a cancer growing in America called "less government," but what I call "less VOICE." Nick says, "Look at our Declaration of Independence which says...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed. That means we, the people must consent to our society and we act in ONE VOICE through our elected representatives. It is our obligation to protect that consent we inherited from our founding fathers and I for one will not let this cancer spread while I can do something about it. Additionally, he has written a film screenplay, called The Red Hand Letter, a love story set in the world of organized crime.
