Few humans understand how Nature works-the "nuts and bolts" of an intricate machine that makes life possible on the "third rock" from the sun. This book will examine, and hopefully explain, some of these systems and processes as they pertain to a particular woodlot in Nova Scotia. A woodlot owned by an opinionated curmudgeon by the name of Roddie MacInnis.

Reviews
"Roddie's New Woodlot has given me a whole new perspective of planet Earth. For the most part, the complex interactions within the enviroment are taken for granted on a day-to-day basis. This book encourages us to stop, look, listen and think about the interdependence within our natural environment.
Reg Conohan,Provincial Forest Supervisor, Prince Edward Island.
Roddie's New Woodlot continues a journey that began with Out Roddie's Way. Roddie, a version of Tolkien's hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, embarks on a new voyage of discovery regarding the inner workings of nature, woodlands, and people. Harrison's characters do more than entertain, they provide vital insights about the world around us".
Bob Bancroft, Wildlife Biologist, Nova Scotia.
