Corner Stores In The Middle Of The Block, places you in the slums of an amusing yet painful intersection, where the color blue remains the color on all streetlights and seat belts don't exist. Poetry becomes the air bag when you crash into his emotions. -Chris Slaughter Author of "Hear My Cries"

About The Author

Blue was born in Harlem, but raised as a military brat between New York, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Germany. Upon returning to the states from Germany as a teenager, he experienced culture shock and quickly developed a discerning eye, which lends to his writing today. In the spring of 2002, he was published in "Signifying Harlem," an anthology of poetry. He has performed at the Bowery Poetry Club, The Poets House and The Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church in association with Cave Canem Poets. Blue performs at art galleries, museums, lounges, comedy clubs, colleges, universities and poetry venue's in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Philadelphia and Baltimore. He has appeared in a New York Lottery commercial, New York Newsday daily news paper, BET's "106 and Park," and the off-off Broadway production of "Sex is More Than a Three Letter Word." Currently, Blue is working on his forthcoming novel and honing his craft as an actor

It was Christmas time when I meet this amazing writer for the first time. He offers me that book, but before he gave me a taste of it, and I loved it. I have not hear such poems in my life, this poems that you write blue are extraordinary wonderful, because is a poems and you can picture it at the same time. I bought it in Christmas’s eve, and I did not stop reading it until I finish it. You are great, keep it that way, and trust me you going to go far away with you poems.
