About The Author
Karoline currently has three titles under her belt. Someone to Love is a novel that highlights the tumultuous marriage of Terry and Stephanie Collins as they seek comfort in the arms of other people. Their infidelity ultimately leads them down a path of chaos and both are left wondering if they are better off calling it quits. Karoline envisioned this couple's story as a three part series.
The sequel to the first novel is Fragile Heart which is being released in the next few weeks! The story continues with Terry and Stephanie facing demons of their past while they try to sort out their present issues. More pieces of the puzzle are exposed allowing the readers a better insight into this couple's life. However not all will be revealed until the final installment, Deception, is released in 2009. Therefore that title is still in the works.
Also available from Karoline Bethea-Jones is a collection of short-stories entitled Women on the Edge which highlights a sneak peak into the lives of ten women. These women are all visiting one significant part of their life that has left them at a crossroad where decisions have been made or are left to be made. The author chose the title of this book to show that the characters are all on the edge of something, whether a breakthrough or a breakdown. The stories read mostly as monologues, but occasionally as narrative and Karoline's plan for this fiction work is to be adapted into a stage play.
Overall, Karoline is an author whose strength in writing involves using the premise of realistic fiction. All of her stories have readers feeling that they personally know the characters in them because their situations jump off the page like one-on-one dialogue with the person holding the book. It is a style that few authors can master, but Karoline is well on her way to it. If asked what message she hopes to send with her writing, Karoline will tell you that she wants the running theme in all of her works to be about Choices & Consequences. As in life, her characters are presented with options and when they choose to go down the wrong path, they must ultimately reap what they sow.
