The Wealthy Shepherd: A Story about Using Integrity, Balance, and Trust to Succeed in Business—is a powerful narrative that conveys necessary, yet often ignored, best business practices. The book is based upon the author’s experiences and observations working with many entrepreneurs and business leaders, including more than 40 self-made millionaires.
The fascinating tale is about a young business owner in search of a mentor to help him save his faltering business. He meets a respected wealthy business owner from New Zealand who takes him on a journey where he discovers the secrets of building and growing a successful business dedicated to quality service and fairness in dealing with customers, employees, and vendors.
He learns how to attract and nurture loyal clients, consistently grow sales by 20-30%, motivate employees, create positive work environments, financially reward employees, manage finances, and balance personal and business life—by embracing the basic values of integrity, balance, and trust.
The dialogue carries the reader along as the young business owner learns these important lessons, successfully applies them, and gains wealth in business and happiness in personal life.

Reviews

“Glad to read The Wealthy Shepherd. The title says a lot. Speaking as one who has helped countless young people become Wealthy Shepherds, I believe the book offers valuable advice to us in a ‘page-turner’ way.”—Ed Crutchfield, Chief Executive Officer, Retired, First Union Corporation, now Wachovia.

“The Wealthy Shepherd does a nice job of pointing out the three constituencies we struggle to satisfy every day—employees, customers and stockholders—and the importance of not overemphasizing one at the expense of the other.” —Jack Prim, Chief Executive Officer, Jack Henry & Associates.

“If I had to pick one book to give to another business person, The Wealthy Shepherd is the one. In fact, I ordered 20 copies for my sales people.” —Stuart Ross, President, ACO Medical Supply.

“I've always believed that you can do better in business taking care of people rather than taking advantage of them—The Wealthy Shepherd shows you how.” —Chris Mele, Chief Executive Officer, CompanionCabinet Software.

“The Wealthy Shepherd is one of those rare business readings that remind us that true intrinsic values such as integrity, balance, and trust are essential elements of a successful life both personally and professionally.”—Dirk Edwards, Vice President, Marketing, BestSweet Inc.

“The Wealthy Shepherd fills the gap missing in many businesses.” —Tehseen Ali, Chief Executive Officer, Verian Technologies.
