Grant Alexander is a twenty-seven year old rising star in the world of automobile racing. He’s the primary driver for Team ADRS, a family funded Busch Series NASCAR. The team is on the verge of busting into the Nextel Cup level of competition when the unexpected death of Nicholas, Grant’s father, forces him into early retirement. As the sole surviving member of the Alexander dynasty, Grant is expected to take over the family business, abandoning his dreams of racing glory. As if this wasn’t enough turmoil in his young life, Grant’s chance encounter with a woman on the street—a woman he believes is his destiny—sends his already turbulent emotions into a tailspin. When Grant exits Gucci’s Menswear to inspect the shirts he had just purchased, he notices a woman frantically searching her purse for loose coins to feed into an expired parking meter. Chloe looks up just as Grant realizes that she is without the necessary change. He takes her hand and, looking intently into her eyes, places some money in her palm. When he touches her, sparks fly! Even though each is drawn to the other, neither one utters a word. Grant turns away and leaves her standing on the street only to wonder just who that kind fellow was; but more to the point, how would she ever find him again on the busy streets of Los Angeles.

About The Author

Debbie was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but when she was nine, the family had enough of the big city rat-race and moved to New Mexico. It was there that she learned to ride horses and her love of the outdoors flourished. As a teenager, she spent much of her time riding horses and picnicking with friends in the nearby mountains. After graduating from high school, she traveled the country, usually by motorcycle, visiting most of the continental United States, as well as parts of Canada. Today, Debbie lives in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and two dogs. She still spend her free time in the great outdoor, fishing, camping, boating, and in the winter, skiing.
