The author's protagonist, Jack McKane, endures a series of misfortunes in search of higher education, success and career;proving there's absolutely no correlation among these ideal pursuits. Jack McKane refuses to suffer the indignities of ordinary work. He'd rather drop out than pay homage to the work gods. Jack is determined to make work a blast, or put up with it for as long as it takes him to finance his next vacation.

About The Author

The author, Roland Verfaillie, Ph.D is a psychologist in private practice. He has worked numerous thankless jobs for low wages, yet values every one of them. He is married, and has three children. He resides in Stuart, Florida with his wife and family. He writes for fun, and wishes it were for fortune and fame. He is psychologically savvy enough to know that this is wishful thinking

Reviews

Dr. Roland Verfaillie has a blue collar heart and a white collar job. His writing style is unique among modern novelists. His dialogues do justice to every accent and dialect ever spoken. His works are bound to be included with the likes of Dave Barry and Kurt Vonnegut. (Purple Onion Gazette)
