Reviews
THE PERFECT SEASON, A Novel of the High School Gridiron
The Perfect Season is an extraordinary novel. Bob Powers understands football and his descriptions of gridiron play are vivid and accurate! But this is more than a football book. It tells the stories of the Coaches and the players in a way that will glue you to the book. Bob’s develops his characters in a clearly understandable way; the reader gets to know them” quickly. In a wonderful sequence if events, he shows how the Coach called “Shotgun” got to be the tough character he is. The story of the unbeaten, untied and unscored upon 1954 season of the Churchland Truckers is faithfully represented and well told in this fictional story. The fictional story adds high adventure and excitement that makes The Perfect Season a great book!

THE PERFECT SEASON, A Novel of the High School Gridiron
This is a terrific book! Bob Powers has written a novel every fan of football will really like. I think it will be a conversation piece in Sports Clubs nation wide. The football scenes are hard hitting, just like the Truckers Team was! The “high school pranks” scenes are entertaining and will cause everyone to remember their own high school days. I think this book is among the best sports novels I have read.
