About The Author
Glen E. Robinson is President Emeritus of Educational Research Service (ERS) the non-profit research and information agency for school management in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to establishing the ERS in 1972 with the sponsorship of 6 national associations of school administrators, he was Director of the National Education Association (NEA) Research Division. He served as a combat infantry officer in WWII (10 th Mountain Division in Italy) and was recalled to active duty in the Korean War. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees (Uni. Tenn.) and Ph.D. (Peabody College, Vanderbilt University). He is a former Public School Science teacher at Norris School (12 grades) in Norris, Tenn. and a former Sunday school teacher of teen-age youth in the North Bethesda United Methodist Church in Bethesda, MD. He and his wife, Mary, now live at The Pines, a retirement community, in Davidson, NC. They have 3 sons, a daughter and 10 grandchildren.
