About The Author
Notorious Poet. Fool. Born in Washington DC. Raised in Southern Maryland, Stavros fled the Chesapeake Bay area as soon as he was able, only to return, after spending years in the desert. He is an accomplished performing poet and was the editor of The Independent Underground Newspaper. In 2001, he created the Poetry Television Project for public cable access in Albuquerque, NM. Before its demise, Ptv produced eight volumes of its groundbreaking series, helped to launch magazines, sponsored a monthly poetry series, and produced the political compilation, Poetic Democracy. Stavros wrote music for, edited, and directed the award-winning documentary film, Committing Poetry in Times of War. He is a photographer and graphic designer whose work has appeared globally. As a musician and sound engineer, he makes noise with melody, soothing his soul with the guitar a monk gave him. He writes in seclusion, is a dreamer, has two kids, and is addicted to Tea.
