Shaken and Stirred is light-heartedly coined as a "thirty-something coming of age tale"following the life of Christian Cullen, an up and coming entrepreneur juggling a hectic, out of control life. While managing client projects all over the country, it's amazing that she has a moment to think, let alone find a man, go to church, see her family, chill with her girls or better yet, just breathe. In an effort to appreciate life's subtle changes, she makes one small investment which forces her to slow down and focus on what really matters in life--she buys a journal. Shaken and Stirred is a fresh and relatable story which moves readers through the often comical journey of finding love, the joys and pains of entrepreneurship, the complexities of rediscovering faith and the inevitable conclusion of being comfortable in one's own skin, written in a smart, modern and witty manner.

About The Author

Crystal Black Davis is a passionate writer who created her fiction novel, Shaken and Stirred, by incorporating her experiences as a modern, professional woman seeking balance in her life. Crystal began writing Shaken and Stirred in 1998 after revisiting a few of her old journals and being amazed at how much her own life read like a novel. Crystal is president of Manhattan based, Savvy Events & Marketing, a gourmet food marketing firm which manages the branding and promotions for clients such as Patchwork Pate', Crave Cookies, Old Amsterdam Dutch Gouda and Ambrosial Granola. Working with food for a living and having a knack for hosting chic cocktail parties, Crystal created the popular blog, Entertaining: Purveyors of the Lost Art, to provide readers with tips on planning (and surviving) their own cocktail and dinner parties. In addition to the blog, Crystal has penned a guide book for entertaining, The Savvy Soiree, scheduled release fall of 2009. Crystal is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and through membership and support, is involved with some of the top arts and cultural institutions in New York City such as Modern Museum of Art (MoMA), Brooklyn Museum, Studio Museum in Harlem and NPR Affiliate WNYC. Crystal resides in New Jersey with her husband Anthony, a marketing executive at Pfizer.
