Druffles The D.J. is the first in a series of books which will be published by A Bear Group Publishing Inc. Druffles is an upbeat, inspiring character whose story will provide young readers with lessons of discovery, self-worth and success in the face of fear and doubt. He teaches children that life can lead to disappointment, both big and small, however he empowers them to believe in themselves and that when one door closes, another door opens. He teaches children that each person has a special ability. He shows by his example, how someone can find his special ability with a positive attitude, determination, and a little help from a friend. Future books in the series will focus on story lines dealing with lessons of discovery and real-world values.

Reviews

Teaching children how they can succeed, January 25, 2009 By Michelle Dunn "Columnist, author, credit expe... (NH) - In this first book in a series we are introduced to Druffles the D.J. who also happens to be a dog. Druffles helps to teach children lessons of life, such as self esteem, pride and how to be the best they can be no matter the pitfalls or insecurities they may have. They will see that they can overcome anything and learn real world values through Druffles and his story. Children will see that everyone is good at something and sometimes it just takes some time to find out what you are good at and how you can be happy and successful at it. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Great New Children's Book, February 27, 2009 By Regina Collins (NY) - Druffles The D.J. is a wonderful new children's book. Every page has such vivid pictures that depict the story and make it easy for pre-school age children to follow. The vocabulary is appropriate for both beginning and established readers, which creates a desire to read. The book will keep children interested since the storyline moves quickly and is uplifting. Both my children, ages six and four, loved it. They can't wait for more books about Druffles!
